I graduated from the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at Loma Linda University in 2024. I completed my internship at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs (VA) in their neuropsychology department, where I received specialized training in traumatic brain injuries, memory disorders, women’s health, and primary-care mental health integration. I then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Sports Medicine Concussion Program and refined my skills in treating brain injuries and comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations.
I continue to research traumatic brain injuries and memory disorders. My research interests focus on lifestyle interventions and dietary changes to improve outcomes in individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia, in addition to multidomain treatments to address mild traumatic brain injuries.
As a neuropsychologist, I am trained to understand the relationship between the brain and behavior, and how any biological changes in the brain can impact daily functioning. Through neuropsychological testing, I can provide insight into why changes in cognitive functioning may be occurring and what the best steps are to improve your quality of life.
Clients who may benefit from my care are usually concerned about changes in their memory, concentration, organization skills, language skills (verbal or nonverbal), perceptual-motor skills, or personality. In some cases, my clients may think they are functioning well, but family/friends may express concerns about my client’s abilities. My clients may be seeking answers as to why these changes are occurring, the rate at which these changes may continue to occur, if the condition is reversible, and what the best available treatment is for the condition.
Cognitive change is a normal part of the aging process for all individuals. Gaining understanding whether the change you are experiencing is a normal part of the aging process, or if there is something else contributing to that change, is informative and empowering. Together, we can create a treatment plan that helps you achieve your goals and improves your quality of life.
